My friend Retrigger, truly a master at music making and commonly passing under the radar (though, all around Europe when I was touring, I met people who mentioned to me his name and work, so the guy has cult status world-wide ;D) has some months ago comissioned a remix to me, something that filled me with pride, since it’s a honour, I’m a huge fan of his work!
The idea was to include it in his new album, “Ornitorrinco Voador”, and never release the original track, only the remix. I was sold already but the fact that he told me that it was to be released on Cock Rock Disco, one of my favourite labels (run by Jason Forrest a.k.a. DJ DOnna Summer), just secured the deal way past how it already was.
After many deadline delays, the final product is live and available for download at Cock Rock Disco’s website. My remix is the last track, number 11.

Thanks to Retrigger for asking me to do this, it was a huge pleasure working on it!
It was also a damn fine challenge to turn Retrigger’s style into the mass of fidget-90s-housey-chip-nonsense I converted the track into
Hope you enjoy it!
Seems like the people at URB Magazine are having a field day with the Zizek Vol.2 compilation and Piolaboy:
The compilation is a party favor with something for everyone with its range of nationalities and styles represented. “Brooklyn Cumbia” seems like an innocent enough opener beckoning a listen; then “Piolaboy (featuring Fauna)” launches into a tropitronica cocktail; and Frikstailers mash it up on “Cumbia Kamisama.” Changing gears is Chancha via Circuito’s “Prima,” which is an ambient electronic track with a runaway crescendo. Things get sensual with floorboard busting track “Soloina (Pastnerak Remix),” and if that was for the ladies, Axel Krygier’s “Cumbia Tucumana” wraps hip-hop over cumbia and dancehall for the chicos.
It’s nothing short of ironic that this collective of DJs and producers is making a global splash because this crew decidedly lives in their own world without rules and categories. Soak in the hues and tints of Vol. 2, subtle as it is audacious, breathy as it is aggressive; it’s a wicked trip to another place.
Take that and party! We be making a splash worldwide, cuando carajo nos bookean en nuestro país? ;/

Ok people, when was the last post? 7th May?
Holy shit, have I slacked or what?
In all honesty, there hasn’t been much going on (to post here) so i just… drifted. There have been some changes in my life that have demanded a lot of my time and everything else has been put aside for the time being. With that said, I am back on massive motion graphics production, so, if you need anything, who you gonan call?
Some things here and there have happened since then, like the release of the Zizek Sounds Vol.2 compilation, where the track I made with Fauna, Piolaboy, is part of the track listing, or a remix for Retrigger that will be released next week on his new album, “Ornitorrinco Voador”, on the awesome imprint Cock Rock Disco (of Jason Forrest a.k.a. DJ Donna Summer).
We have made a couple of presentations with Zleep as the Piñata Sound System, both in the second Piñata party we made, and in a gig at Buenos Aires’ popularity-gaining night of friday nights at Voodoo Motel.
And what’s coming up?
A whole new live A/V show, more remixes, new tracks, more DJ sets, a couple of tours and more!
More news as they happen…
Hey guys,
I leave you with a DJ set I made recently through the streaming nightclub Virtual Night.
Unfortunately not available for download yet, but you can stream it following this link right here.
It’s pretty long (over 2 hours) and it gets bizarre, as usual
But you can expect the usual mix of fidget house, bassline and 8-bit, 90s feeling bizarreness I always deliver when DJing. It’s a good life!
